Crossing the Threshold to the Second Half of 2013

It struck me the other day that this weekend will have us crossing the threshold to the second half of our year. Being a long weekend in Canada with our July 1st celebrations arriving soon, my focus at this time is usually on enjoying the sunshine and stepping into summer. My sudden realization of this threshold shifted my perspective to looking at it in an entirely new way than I ever have. What will I/you step into?

Everything is perspective. How we look at things determines our response to them. We make all our decisions on assumptions, even those that we may consider irrefutable. So when we change our minds, everything else begins to shift. New doors open and new vistas appear that were hidden before.

A simple example is of deciding to buy a car and noticing the model you like everywhere or ads that you would’ve never noticed before.  Or, you decide to change your job and see the new opportunity sitting there which was invisible moments before. All you did was make a new decision.

The ability to change our minds and make a new decision is a powerful transformer. Often we think we’ve made a decision by simply desiring new things, however the key is in asking yourself whether you have actually said “no” to something so that you can say “yes” to what you now desire.

So how does your view of this moment in time shift by considering it a threshold?  Do you see a before/after point…the first and second half of 2013…the old and the new…what is gone and what is now born? Who you were and who you now are?

How will you orchestrate this new phase? How will you act and who will you be in the second act?  If you have felt a spiralling down, then I anoint for you this moment as one of changing direction to an upward spiral. Upward spirals are built on clear steps forward, one at at time, towards the life vision planted inside of you.

Who do you need to be to empower your vision?  How would she/he act? What decisions would that individual make now? What needs to be put aside, and what needs to be picked up and ran with?

We can make any moment a juicy one by bringing it alive with powerful questions. I wrapped one of my projects up on Friday afternoon. The sudden urge to act came unexpectedly as I saw its end and made a shift forward to what is next. I now sit in the middle of this space on a gorgeous weekend soaking up the warmth and nourishment so I may be energized for the brand new chapter that was already planted and is now ready to sprout. And you?

If you feel a resonance with this threshold energy and you are ready to cross this threshold emphatically and delightfully, ask about my Living in Technicolour program, a 3 to 6 month program with 1:1 support to take you where you desire. To apply for the program you must first complete aBreakthrough Session“. This session can be received for free if you qualify by completing the questions and sending them to me asap. A handful of free sessions are available on July 1 or 2 only to celebrate this opportune time!

I hadn’t thought about today as a threshold, but it is. I’ve been dragging my feet about taking elements of my life to the next level and today is an auspicious day to begin. Thank you for posting.

You know it was the first time ever that this word came to mind at this point in the year! Then I saw the word in another context and realized something must be “up” 🙂 I’m glad my post has prompted you to listen and take action Robert! Thanks for posting.

How thoughtful, and thought provoking. It’s true. Have felt some questions forming in the mind and heart over the last month, and have been presented with some potential opportunities – this next half will see them through, and this post has given me the courage to see things that way. Thanks for posting 🙂

Yay for courage Grace! It always delivers. It’s about loving life (coeur which forms the word courage = heart in French).

Thanks for sharing my post! (I wasn’t clear on your last msg – you replied, no thanks, but I don’t recall asking a question.) I like that the had a photo of fireworks – how perfect that we have them at this mid-way “new year” as you put it.
