It is Thanksgiving in Canada this weekend, a holiday I love, for it focuses on being thankful.
I received two lovely messages today and appreciate both people for taking time out of their busy lives to connect and let me know they appreciate my work.
The first one was from a styling client in Toronto who wrote, “My family wedding in Baltimore is this weekend….I have a sleek haircut, just enough classy makeup, sharp black dress, fine Chinese silk shawl, pearls, impossible snakeskin shoes, heirloom black evening bag, and a gigantic attitude!!! Thank you again, Stylist Jas, for your push. I’m excited.” I can’t wait to see her photos, though most of all am happy to know how great she feels having given such wonderful attention to herself and this important family event.
The second was a lovely voicemail from a Nia student I had this summer from Florida. I so appreciated that she stopped to call me all the way from her home to express her gratitude for my classes. She mentioned how photos of her Nia experience are in her scrapbook t to remind of her of her adventures while visiting. Reaching across borders has always excited me and I look forward to opportunities to share Joi Works where it may be called.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, may you feel and know your blessings.
