Juggling Multiple Dreams?

A number of my clients come to me with a frustration at the various ideas they have floating through their minds, not knowing which to work on first and which one is the “real” one. They fear they will lose the ones that they don’t tend to and so hold them all in their mind and withhold the action required. Or they give power to outer circumstances (a.k.a. other people) to tell them which way to go. “I’m waiting to see where I get the ‘best’ response.” And so they wait and feel their power is limited. There is another way.

Whatever is true for you cannot be lost. You will engage with it somehow if it’s a part of your life story.

My view is long-term. As a creative being, I have a number of projects I would unleash if I had a whole team to execute them and that, I am working on. I always have a ‘behind-the-scenes’ life like a toymaker’s workshop while I take action in the “real” world 🙂

I allow the ideas to be there and have gotten better and tending to what’s present now instead of fearing I’m off track and not doing what I’m meant to do. This is a highly common experience among creatives and the truly entrepreneurial. I had this issue big-time. I eventually learned that there is a time for exploration and growth and another time for bringing it altogether AND putting it out into the world.

Once I gained the experience by having explored my options AND sorted through my priorities and values based on my mind and my heart – things came to a sense of stability and peace that I hadn’t had before.

Whatever you are desiring is desiring you. You have to trust this and tend to the immediate next step you can take.

I support my clients in wading through the ideas, thoughts, desires they have to firm a vision that feels right, inspiring, and where the energy can naturally flow rather than being stuck in circles in their mind.

Many people bring up a multitude of reasons why they can’t have what they want. Until they are willing to release the reasons (a form of resistance), it’s difficult to move ahead. This is where I bring in different approaches with each person in order to find the key that will unlock their door. Otherwise they remain within their own formed prison of sorts. I do love this step because it is essentially helping a person see how powerful they are and if they used their energy in the direction they desire, their life could flow better.

Once we have the vision, we can work on what’s next in a step by step manner so it remains both grounded and inspired. Usually it is a new way of being for many people because they’ve never applied a systematic and inspired approach to their desires. They may have done it in traditional places but not to what’s really important at a soul level. That is a different way.

There is work to be done here. And that’s why it helps to have the guidance of someone who has gone through it and done the learning that was required. As a guide, coach, teacher, I am ‘designed’ to look at life through many angles and lenses and that helps me understand things that many people don’t have the interest in learning (because their interests are elsewhere). So, I can work with a myriad of people and know how to create an opening where the light can shine in.

Once that happens, life feels free.

If you don’t move beyond where you are, nothing happens, it’s circular. You can create more activities but at the same level of consciousness. As you go into the stretch (a new opportunity, idea, way), you will bring out all of the reasons not to go forward, all the fears, the doubts, all the sense of failure – It’s not a big deal, so many people have moved through this now.” Arnold Patent

This last sentence explains why the coaching industry has grown significantly. More people have taken the courageous steps to move through life differently, faced their own demons as it were, and are now available to guide the way for those looking for positive change.

Just as the man who first ran the mile in less than 4 minutes broke a record to then watch many others follow him…people are following their dreams, seeing what works, and that opens the door for others to do the same, without the level of pain and fear they had to go through. (by the way, people thought a person would ‘explode’ if they went that fast!)
