Asking Questions that will Lead You to Your Ultimate Success and Heart’s Desires

Last week as I headed to Florida, I felt excited as I flew through the clouds to arrive in the warmth of the sun. Travelling opens me up. That is why it’s often high on my list and a priority.  It also is an important part of my business, whether it’s going somewhere to connect with like-minded people who are on the same wavelength and/or to be trained by leaders in certain industries.

My trip to Florida was to attend a business mentoring event. I’ve read about this topic but never attended such an event before. It was fantastic and applies to all areas of life.  Here are some of the nuggets from David Neagle:

–       No one knows what you can do, what you are capable of creating for yourself. (i.e. there is far more possible for you than you or the people in your life currently realize.)

–       Be aware of the things that stop you and you will be able to change your behavior (e.g. is it a negative mindset masquerading as being practical? Is it the concern of what others will think of you? Is it simply not knowing how to do what you need to do?)

–       If you increase your need, it shows up.  (e.g. if we suddenly need money for an unexpected emergency, we find it. Why not apply that to going for what you really want? So many people hold their purse strings tight when it comes to their own true desires and consider it noble.)

–       The way you choose to use your intellect determines your emotional state.

–       Distraction is your ego’s way of keeping you exactly where you are. And it provides you an excuse for resisting doing something you’re afraid to do. (read this one 10x)

These are powerful statements and if you study any one of them deeply and put them into practice, you will experience profound change in your life (these are only from the first hour of a 3 day event, so you can imagine the depth of where I got to go). The only question is: Are you willing?

If this intrigues you or has you sit up straight to consider how you may begin going after what you really want, then mark the evening of December 4th. You will be invited to a Joi Works event for Living your Life in Technicolour.

WOW! Sounds absolutely fascinating – lucky you! This one, in particular, piques my curiosity:

    – The way you choose to use your intellect determines your emotional state.

Please do elaborate! And, thanks for sharing these gems.

    Best,

    Michael

Glad you enjoyed them Michael! As for luck, it was all choice. When one is ready, the teacher appears, right? Briefly, our thoughts cause our feelings. Often people are caught in their feelings and react in some way, either towards or away from their real dreams. When you realize that there had to be a thought first, you begin to regain control of your emotions. So next time you’re in a situation that isn’t what you desire, you can say to yourself, “That’s interesting.” This statement alone allows you to step back from going into emotion/judgement. Get curious. Then use your intellect to ask yourself useful questions, e.g. what am I believing? is it true? is there something I’m not seeing? etc. Hope you can make it on Dec 4th!
