Now that it’s September, routines are returning. This can mean being busier, but I will challenge you to consider focusing instead on time well spent. I hear many people saying they’re busy and find that most of the time they’re simply trying to do too much that doesn’t have value in the end. Using that time (and money) to have better quality relationships, work on success/career, and have downtime, is the way to live. And it eludes so many of us, myself included.
This past weekend I spent time clearing things out and re-organizing. My next step is to consider a bit of re-decorating for spaces that need attention and lack personality. It felt good, time well spent. Things were thrown out, others were sent to be mended, and some sit waiting for a new home.
During this process I thought about how I’ve been spending my time and realized that somehow I’ve been wasting time on less important things instead of doing things that would be of value – such as making decisions and stepping forward in them, resting and relaxing, and making plans for important things. These three things would make a huge improvement and they would focus on a bottom line that is necessary for my health, happiness, and well-being. So here I go…!
