When I look at the numerous networking events out there or the resources touting social media, I sometimes feel disheartened that smart people with great ideas get lost in the minefields of “how one is supposed to grow their business”. Everybody is trying to be a somebody, which often means copying everyone else. Through all this noisy chatter, the actual concept of leading oneself is lost. And if you have a business, an art, are growing your career, or desire to create a great community, You Are A Leader. It’s more important than ever today to listen within, use powerful common sense, and take action in integrity with your vision. And likewise, it’s easy to get numbed out with all that is being taught. So with this awareness, I felt it time to create a group that can focus on what it means to lead from within. If you reside in Vancouver, then please do come out and join. The only person who can really lead your life is YOU. Until you claim your role in your desires and choose to ‘own’ them, you cannot consciously create new results. And it’s SO much more fun this way.
What do you want to GROW? Are you ready to claim it? In my own experience and with my clients, it takes time to really let expansive perspectives take hold within. When you’ve been operating in limitation of any sort, it’s difficult to shift overnight. The ideas and new understandings need to seep in and then you need to take action to test them out and put them into real world practice. Then the momentum builds as you shake off all that you’ve allowed to be in your way (e.g. limiting or restrictive thoughts, old approaches that don’t work) and find a much lighter and more loving way to live and create. Things begin to fall into place and you realize how freeing it is. Who are we most excited about seeing when we watch a film? The leading lady or man, of course. In your own life, that is you.
