Call to find out how Joi Works can help you and follow my weekly blog to be inspired by life musings. Joi Works is here to help you express and be the you that is you.

Your Expression and Being

Expression is how you show up in the world. It grows through confidence-building, personal development, and self-awareness. The ability, to express yourself, deeply impacts your relationships, career, and health. Expand your range of expression and expand your life.

Being is your deep connection to self, Source, and life. It is reflected in an experience of peace, direction, trust, and joy. A strong sense of being is noticeable and naturally attracts people and opportunities.  Your well-being also deeply impacts your relationships, career, and health on a daily basis. Experience inner strength and peace.

Jasjit Rai Director and Founder of Joi Works

At its simplest, my work helps people live expanded lives of joy, personal power, enthusiasm and fulfillment.

My approach is to get to the heart of the matter and bring out your best. Using the multitude of skills and experience I have gained, I create a path suited to your needs.

My background

The straight road

In 1999, Joi Works began by offering organizational and human resources consulting, which has been a large part of the Joi Works business.  I’ve worked on short to long term contracts as well as team building events.  Wellness in the workplace is a specialty that grew from my Nia training. Prior to this, I was happily employed as a career and employment counsellor. My education includes a degree in Commerce with courses in Organizational Behaviour and Adult Education.

The curvy road

At the turn of the millenium, in the year 2000, I stepped into a Nia class (www.nianow.com) to release stress and get a fun workout.  Within the first few minutes I felt an unexpected desire to teach it which birthed a whole new journey. Over a decade later, I am a Nia Black Belt, having trained with the Nia founders in the USA and having consistently taught 2-4 weekly classes since that time.  Practicing Nia opened my creativity in new ways including: writing, painting and styling.

My love and eye for fashion began early, but it wasn’t until 2009 that I decided to offer personal styling services to add another powerful path towards positive change. I’ve taken courses in art and design through ECIAD and styling through Blanche Macdonald. Clothing is a transformational tool. It is your second skin. Understanding style, cut, shape, and fabric, I help people feel and look beautiful.

Movement, style, and art are powerful ways to enter and expand your expression and being.

The international road

I was born in India and have grown up and lived in Vancouver, Canada.  Since my first trip on a plane, I’ve been fascinated by culture. I’ve travelled in North America, Europe, and Asia. My international work includes two years in London and an internship in Switzerland.  I’ve worked with people from all around the world at home and overseas, another true joy.

I look forward to discussing how Joi Works can expand your life and work through greater expression and being. Even if you’re not sure what you need, call and let me know what you want to achieve or where you want to get to. The rest will follow. Every journey begins with a single step.
